Excellent chef techniquement et humainement. Nous avons très bien mangé. Le chef est très proche et souriant malgré la chaleur (weekend de canicule). Il a fait de notre diner d’anniversaire un excellent moment que nous n'oublierons pas. Merci beaucoup.

Un chef au top de la cuisine : un repas pour 14 personnes où tout le monde a été emballé et surtout une empathie et une attention pour ma mère qui fêtait ses 90 ans à un haut niveau Les 5* sont largement méritées Seul point noir une application toute en anglais et qui bloque les discussions avec le chef pour choisir les plats du repas ! The chef, staff and meal were excellent! The chef prepared an excellent menu based on our event and individual needs. We worked together to make the event special for my wife's birthday. He was fun and a great addition to our party! Only one critique would be that he could communicate a little better days before the event.

Tout simplement parfait ! 👌🏻 Nous avons fait appel à Stéphane pour fêter l’anniversaire de ma mère. Stéphane nous a proposé un menu extraordinaire et délicieux qui a impressionné tous les invités. Accompagné par un maître d’hôtel (tout aussi sympathique et attentionné que le chef) le binôme nous a fait vivre une soirée inoubliable. Un restaurant gastronomique à la maison ! Je recommande vivement et nous ferons appel à lui sans hésiter pour nos prochaines occasions de fête !

Yes, at checkout you can choose to pay a deposit. We’ll charge 30% upfront to secure your date with the chef, and the remaining balance will be charged 14 days before the event.
Cancellations
We offer an optional flexible booking service designed to give you peace of mind. By adding this service when confirming your reservation, you'll have the flexibility to cancel your event up to 7 days before the scheduled date, ensuring you have extra security if your plans change. Unfortunately, cancellations within 3 days of the event cannot be refunded due to grocery shopping and chef preparations. For a worry-free experience, consider taking advantage of this additional service when you book. Otherwise, our standard terms and conditions will apply.
This rarely happens. We have strict rules on cancelling our guests's requests and incentivize our chefs to never cancel. However, there might be emergencies. In this case, we will try to look for a chef within 24 hours of the cancellation - we cannot guarantee anything though. Refunds are of course granted if we cannot provide an alternative chef

A private chef through ChefMaison typically costs between R 1,500–R 2,850 per person, depending on party size, menu complexity, and extras like wine pairings — final pricing is always confirmed in a personalized quote from your chef. Each chef profile shows an indicative starting price, so you can compare options before requesting a quote. Every quote breaks down costs clearly upfront, meaning no hidden fees on the night itself. Once you approve the proposal, you can book and pay securely through the ChefMaison platform.
The chef should generally arrive between 1 and 2 hours in advance, although this will be variable on a per-request basis and will be communicated through the chat
A private chef is a chef who is hired by different clients for a specific event or time. A personal chef is a chef who is hired by one client full-time or part-time for a longer period of time - for example on vacation, for mealprepping or at home. ChefMaison offers both services.
Our chefs are very creative - and can find a solution to any dietary restriction or preference. Please use the chat to communicate your wishes
