Born in Alsace, Chef Thierry Bernet found his passion for cooking in his mother’s kitchen at just six years old. Almost instinctively, he pursued his culinary education at the École Hôtelière de Guebwiller at the age of 14. He earned his culinary stripes under Mr. Jean Schillinger, one of the finest chefs in France and beyond, emerging as a Chef in his own right.

A lover of the sea, Thierry was recruited at 23 by the Sofitel Méditerranée in Cannes and later at the Sofitel Marseille. He quickly rose to prominence, earning the title of Best Newcomer in the South and becoming a star in Cannes’ gastronomic scene. His career then took him to the prestigious Relais & Châteaux establishments, and he played a key role in opening new luxury hotels. As an Executive Chef for the ACCOR group, Thierry led culinary operations across several Sofitel locations abroad while also organizing high-end catering events.

Today, as a “Maître Restaurateur,” Thierry Bernet oversees a variety of receptions and serves as a consultant for French restaurants internationally.
