I've been working on people's plates since I was a child, always reaching for my mother's dishes in the kitchen. Cooking has never been just a job for me—it has always been part of who I am.
For the past 28 years, I've dedicated my life to becoming the chef I dreamed of being. My journey didn't begin in a Michelin-starred kitchen. It started washing dishes in a hotel in Edinburgh, thousands of miles from my hometown of Leioa, in the Basque Country. Those early days taught me humility, discipline, and the value of hard work.
Although I received professional culinary training, I quickly realized that the real education happens in busy kitchens, under pressure, alongside demanding chefs who push you beyond your limits. Those experiences shaped my character and made me fall even more deeply in love with this profession.
Throughout my career, I've cooked in Spain, Scotland, Switzerland, France, Mexico, the United States, and Colombia, learning from different cultures while staying true to my Basque roots. Today, I specialize in Basque and international cuisine, creating bespoke dining experiences, private events, catering, and authentic pintxos wherever my knives take me.
Every dish I create tells a story—my story, your story, and the story of the ingredients. I treat every product with respect, every plate with pride, and every guest as if I were cooking in my own home.
For me, cooking is about much more than food. It's about creating memories around the table that people will never forget.
