My name is María, and although I spent 13 years building a career in a multinational company after earning a degree in Business Administration, a few years ago I decided to reinvent myself and dedicate my life to what had always been my true passion: cooking. I trained as a professional chef at the Artxanda Hospitality School in Bilbao, and since then I have continued to refine my skills and expand my knowledge by working alongside talented chefs in several Michelin-starred restaurants.
My cooking is deeply rooted in tradition. I am a passionate advocate of slow-cooked dishes, timeless flavors, and recipes that have been passed down through generations. Over the years, I have specialized in stews, escabeches (traditional pickled preparations), offal, and game cuisine, although I enjoy creating a wide variety of dishes. I strongly believe that preserving the culinary heritage of our grandmothers is essential and that traditional cooking still has the power to surprise, comfort, and inspire.
What defines me most is my respect for quality ingredients, the patience required for carefully crafted dishes, and my constant pursuit of flavors that bring people back to cherished memories of home. My greatest reward is seeing how a meal can create emotions, spark memories, and bring people together around the table.
