I have always had a passion for cooking. That passion was culminated over the course of my youth by learning from my grandfather in the kitchen, as well as working with him in his garden. He was the first black maitre d’ of the Charlotte City Club, and was always eager to give me lessons, about cooking, but more importantly about life.

I am a graduate of Johnson & Wales University in Providence, RI, and I have been blessed to be a professional chef for over 26 years. My specialty is modern cuisine inspired by traditional Southern, African, and Latin cultures.
