From a young age I always knew that I wanted to be a chef. This led me to study at the Namur hotel school, followed by a management and catering degree in Brussels.
When I was 27 years old, I worked as a chef during 2 years in a well-known Japanese fusion restaurant located in Brussels city centre called The Little Tokyo.
Thanks to my experiences gained when travelling, I learned and developed a proper style of fusion cooking.
My private chef service adapts itself taking the preferences of the clients completely into account. If you are more a meat lover or completely vegetarian , or vegan , or pescatarian, you decide.
Thanks to my experience as a private chef I will adapt the menu completely to what you desire. The strength of my service is that it’s totally flexible. I cater for small groups, as well as groups of 30 people and more.
My specialism is fusion cuisine ! I use recipes from all over the world and most of them are infused with an Asian touch , due to my passion for travel.
My aim is to bring the taste of travel into my dishes while keeping a strong basis of French traditional cuisine.

The lunch was really good. We had zakouskis, langoustine raviolis and then beef picanha. This was really excellent. The dessert was a bit of a disappointment, particularly for those who ordered the pavlova. Indeed, it was not at all a pavlova. However, the chef had agreed to my request to have 2 desserts (the other was a tiramisu). The kitchen was also left perfectly clean. The guests had two comments: everything went a bit too quickly and the quantities were a bit small for some. Honestly, we will do it again!

We really enjoyed our BBQ with Chef Réginald! We were with a group of 18. The weather was bad, but there was a good alternative to enjoy the delicious food inside instead of outside. Definitely can recommend

We hired Chef Reginald to cook for our bachelor party. He cooked for us at a vacation home and prepared an amazing barbecue. There were 13 of us, and everyone was absolutely stuffed! The food was incredible delicious.

We've had a great time with Chef Reginald Smit. The food was amazing and great service from Reginald. He was friendly and walked us through the courses. He was happy to serve the children first so we could enjoy without interference as the adults afterwards. I highly recommend Reginald for any of your experiences and would definitely hire him again in the future.

To be clear, we didn't have the chance to have Chef Réginald Smit at home, because he sent his sous-Chef Bryan Gomez instead. I think Chef Réginald should be more transparent about who will be present at the event, hence the lower score in professionalism. HOWEVER, Chef Bryan Gomez was absolutely fantastic as the "replacement". Having learned from Chef Réginald, I wouldn't have expected anything less! Bryan was kind and patient with us, and always polite in any circumstances. He was focused on his tasks, even when we kept asking him questions. He served us a delicious selection of dishes. We definitely had an excellent dinner, and my guests were amazed by the quality of it all ! Overall, I highly recommend Bryan Gomez on any circumstances, and recommend Chef Réginald's fine cuisine.

J'ai fais confiance au chef Régi pour célébrer mes 30ans, je n'ai rien d'autre à dire que... Incroyable, une facilité d'organisation, une précisions dans les détails, il est arrivé pile à l'heure prévue, chaque service était incroyable, j'espérais épater mes convives et merci beaucoup Régi ça a super bien marcher ! Het was niet zoals verwacht. Vantevoren hele fijne kennismaking gehad met Reginald. Maar op moment van aankomst kwam er een andere chef, dit was niet met ons gecommuniceerd. En ook iemand die alleen Frans sprak, en geen NL of Eng. Hierdoor geen aanvullende uitleg gekregen over het menu (behalve voorlezen van het gekozen menu, maar ook geen uitleg over de herkomst van het menu, de wijnen, etc etc.). Het eten zelf was prima, maar de opmaak etc ook niet van chef-niveau. De chef was vriendelijk maar we hebben vaker chefkoks aan huis gehad, maar dit was wel echt van een ander niveau. Prijs-kwaliteit was helaas niet goed in balans.

Hoi Réginald, De dag was perfect verzorgt. Lekker eten vooral. De bediening was ook super. Jullie zijn allemaal erg vriendelijk en lief. Voor de afspraken was het soms even lastig i.v.m. de taalbarrière, maar alles is meer dan goed gekomen. Wat wel nog een opmerking is dat we misschien teveel verschillende soorten witte wijn hadden en dat Mag een paar keer heeft bijgeschonken in een glas drogen wijn Chardonay, met zoete Duitse wijn. ( de verkeerde wijn dus). Dat kan eigenlijk niet. Verder had de bediening best wat meer mogen vragen hoor. Ze hadden i.p.v. koffiemelk gewone halfvolle melk in de melkkannetjes geschonken voor de koffie. Is geen ramp maar had niet gehoeven. De chef-kok had zich best even mogen laten zien direct na het diner, zodat de gasten hem konden bedanken met een applausje bv. Mijn man had nog een kleine opmerking over het hoofd gerecht dit had hij aan Mag verteld. Ver chapó. Heel erg bedankt voor deze onvergetelijke dag. Groetjes Pieter en Jolanda.

We hadden een geweldige tijd met chef Réginald Smit De eerste appetizer was meteen een schot in de roos en hij heeft de verwachtingen kunnen aanhouden gedurende de ganse menu. Het was een enorm leuke ervaring in eigen huis, maar bovendien was het ook qua persoon een leuke klik toen hij er even bij kwam zitten en het mee een gezellige babbel maakte (communicatie in het engels maar dit is voor ons zeker geen probleem). Tenslotte was de keuken ook piekfijn achtergelaten (zoals op voorhand al aangekondigd was). Enorm leuke avond, bedankt Réginald!

We loved everything: the menu, the food, the presentation and the wine pairing. It was a fantastic experience. It was our first time with a chef at our home but certainly not the last time. Réginald is a great chef and good companion for your exclusive dinner.
