




About Chef Martin Daniels
My family has origins in France, Brazil and French Algiers; however, I was born in Yorkshire, England. I first became interested in food at the age of 5 years old when I sat on my grandmother’s porch, watching in amazement as the chefs in the hotel kitchen next door performed their magic.
I left school at 16 and spent the next 16 years mastering the culinary arts in fine dining hotels and restaurants across Europe. The highlight being 3 years in Jersey, a small island off the North coast of France, renowned for the quality of the local ingredients. Here, alongside chefs from across the world I learned to appreciate cooking with premium quality produce, meats, and seafood. In the mid -nineties I opened my own restaurant. After winning a number of prestigious guidebook accolades, culinary grand-prix gold medals and receiving an invitation to become a Master Chef of Great Britain aged 32, I turned my attention to food manufacturing.
Since then, as an Executive Chef / R&D leader - and by virtue of my roles with prestigious food manufacturers across the globe - I have designed countless products, dishes and menus for some of the worlds best known restaurant chains, grocery stores and travel operators.
I now live in the beautiful town of Collingwood, Simcoe County, with my wife, 2 sons and our dog Oreo. In my spare time I enjoy being outdoors walking or cycling.
