I’m Chef Modestos, a professional chef with over 15 years of experience working in Greece and abroad, with a passion for modern Greek and Mediterranean cuisine.

My cooking is inspired by the ingredients of Greece — fresh seafood, seasonal vegetables, quality olive oil, herbs, citrus and great local products. I love taking familiar Greek flavours and presenting them in a modern, elegant and creative way, without losing their identity.

Throughout my career, I have worked in professional kitchens, resorts and restaurants, including roles as a Sous Chef and Head Chef, as well as running my own restaurant. These experiences have taught me that great food is not only about technique — it is about choosing the right ingredients, understanding your guests and creating an experience they will remember.

One of the things I enjoy most is creating personalised menus for each occasion. Whether it is a relaxed Greek dinner by the sea, a special celebration or an elegant private dining experience, I like every menu to feel unique and made specifically for the people sitting at the table.

If I had to choose one style of cooking that represents me, it would be seafood-focused Mediterranean cuisine: clean flavours, freshness, acidity, herbs and thoughtful presentation.

For me, the best compliment is not an empty plate — it is when a guest tastes something familiar in a completely new way and asks, “How did you make this?
