Privacy Statement
ChefMaison, located at Eerste Atjehstraat 37-2, 1094 KB Amsterdam, is responsible for the processing of personal data as shown in this privacy statement.
Personal data we process
ChefMaison processes your personal data because you use our services and/or because you provide this data to us yourself. Below is an overview of the personal data we process:
- First and last name
- Address details
- Phone number
- Email address
- Location data of requests
- Bank account numbers & VAT numbers (only for ChefMaison Partners and employees)
Special and/or sensitive personal data we process
Our website and/or service does not intend to collect data about website visitors who are younger than 16 years old, unless they have permission from parents or guardian. However, we cannot verify whether a visitor is over 16. We recommend that parents be involved in their children's online activities to prevent data being collected about children without parental consent. If you believe that we have collected personal information about a minor without this consent, please contact us at casper@chefmaison.com, and we will delete this information.
For what purpose and on what basis we process personal data
ChefMaison processes your personal data for the following purposes:
- Processing your payment. We use the global payment provider Stripe for secure payments so that no information about your financial details are stored with ChefMaison
- Sending our newsletter and/or advertising brochure
- To be able to call or email you if necessary to carry out our services
- To inform you about changes to our services and products
- To offer you the opportunity to create an account
- ChefMaison also processes personal data if we are legally obliged to do so, such as information we need for our tax return.
Automated decision-making
ChefMaison does not make decisions based on automated processing about matters that can (significantly) affect people. These are decisions made by computer programs or systems, without a person (for example, a ChefMaison employee) in between.
How long we store personal data
ChefMaison does not store your personal data longer than strictly necessary to achieve the purposes for which your data is collected. We use the following retention periods for the following (categories of) personal data:
Sharing personal data with third parties
ChefMaison only provides to third parties and only if this is necessary for the performance of our agreement with you or to comply with a legal obligation.
Storage location and security of personal data
- Personal data is stored on EU servers of Amazon Web Services (AWS). The databases backing ChefMaison are not publicly accessible from the internet. AWS possesses the highest security standards.
- Third parties might use some personal data for their services, such as Stripe for payments, Twilio and Meta for WhatsApp Notifications. All third parties that ChefMaison uses are also GDPR compliant and ISO 27001 certified themselves. ChefMaison only shares with these services the data necessary for their services
- Personal data is encrypted in transit and at rest.
- Access to personal data is restricted to authorized personnel only.
- Personal data is backed up regularly and stored securely.
- Personal data is stored for as long as necessary to provide services to you and to comply with legal obligations.
Viewing, modifying or deleting data
You have the right to view, correct or delete your personal data. You can do this yourself via the personal settings of your account. Additionally, you have the right to withdraw your consent for data processing or object to the processing of your personal data by our company and you have the right to data portability. This means you can submit a request to us to send the personal data we have of you in a computer file to you or another organization specified by you. If you wish to exercise your right to object and/or right to data portability or have other questions/comments about data processing, please send a specified request to casper@chefmaison.com. To ensure that the request for access is made by you, we ask you to send a copy of your identity document with the request. Make your photo, MRZ (machine readable zone, the strip with numbers at the bottom of the passport), passport number and Citizen Service Number black. This is to protect your privacy. ChefMaison will respond to your request as soon as possible, but at least within four weeks. ChefMaison also wants to point out that you have the opportunity to file a complaint with the national supervisory authority, for example the Dutch Data Protection Authority. How we protect personal data
ChefMaison takes the protection of your data seriously and takes appropriate measures to prevent misuse, loss, unauthorized access, unwanted disclosure and unauthorized modification.
