My magic-sprinkling journey started back in 2017 — so that’s 8+ years of turning plates into little pieces of happiness! I’m not from a long line of family-recipe chefs (although my mom’s Sunday roasts still live rent-free in my head 😂).
My skills come from proper formal training at Infinity Culinary Training in Cape Town (Certificate in Professional Cooking, 2017) and Julie’s Cake Studio (Certificate in Cake Decoration & Sugar Craft, 2018). Those programs gave me the foundations, but the real magic happened on board Viking Cruiseships & Azamara cruise ships, in Michelin-level kitchens like The Shortmarkert Club and Greenhouse, and now as Head Chef of my own maritime training academy.
Fun fact – the dish I’m most proud of?
My Dark Chocolate & Passion Fruit Entremet with a mirror glaze that looks like liquid gold. I first created it for a VIP group on Viking and the guests literally gasped when it came out. The combination of tart passion fruit cutting through rich chocolate, plus that shiny glaze… every time I plate it I still think “YES — I nailed it!” It’s elegant, Instagram-worthy, and always gets the “how did you do that?!” reactions.
I love creating moments where people don’t just eat — they remember the experience. Whether it’s a luxurious cruise-style dessert or something comforting with a twist, my goal is always the same: sprinkle a little extra magic on every plate
