We are a two-person culinary team, led by Daphne Callee and Jan Willem Vrieling. Since 2015, we’ve been creating boundary-free dining experiences, where the flavors of organic, locally sourced vegetables — and, if desired, meat or fish — take center stage. Most of our ingredients come from regional farmers and are always organic or demonstrably sustainable.
Jan Willem’s passion for cooking began at 16 and has guided his career ever since. For 14 years, he owned a highly beloved restaurant in Groningen (Northern Netherlands), widely acclaimed by locals and featured in well-known publications such as Special Bite, Quote, and PlayBoy.
Daphne’s love for cuisine grew from a family rooted in local, sustainable living, shaped by experiences in Japanese kitchens, cooking schools, and the agri-food sector. Together, we combine finely tuned palates, attention to detail, and a commitment to sharing the story of the best local ingredients with our guests.
As private chefs, we craft personalized dining experiences that celebrate the land, spark curiosity, and deliver refined, unforgettable flavors.
