I’m Chef Matthew Cruz, a professionally trained chef with 20 years of experience in fine dining and hospitality. I studied at St-Pius Culinary Institute in Montreal and developed my craft in respected kitchens including Ferreira Café, W Montreal, Hôtel Nelligan, Garde Manger and Europe.

My cuisine is refined, seasonal and deeply influenced by Mediterranean flavours, with Portuguese roots and touches of Japanese technique. I love creating elegant multi-course experiences built around premium ingredients, precise execution and beautiful presentation.

What I enjoy most about private dining is creating something personal for every guest. Through Cruz Cuisine, my goal is to bring the quality, attention to detail and hospitality of a high-end restaurant directly into the client’s home, chalet or private event.
