
About Chef Mike Tania
With over ten years of experience in professional kitchens, I now cook in my own way: personal, tailored, and with a focus on quality and creativity.
My culinary journey didnโt begin in culinary school, but during my student years in Groningen. After a few years of studying, I realized my heart truly belonged in the kitchen โ and since then, Iโve made it my career with great joy.
Iโve worked mainly in Amsterdam, including as head chef at a wine bar, and in restaurants with both one and two Michelin stars. I was also head chef at a classic French bistro, where I deepened my love for French cuisine. That style โ combined with fresh fish, seasonal ingredients, and Asian influences โ still shines through in my dishes.
These days, I work as a private chef and caterer, and I find that incredibly fulfilling. Whether itโs an intimate dinner at home, a multi-day wedding, a corporate lunch, or a vacation with a private chef โ I cook with care, creativity, and attention to detail. Always using high-quality ingredients and fully tailored to my clientsโ wishes.
I live in Amsterdam, grew up in Het Gooi, and cook all across the Netherlands โ and even abroad, when the occasion calls for it.
