Private chefs in Modica

My family and I rented an old farmhouse in Sicily and had Chef Enrico come prepare a typical Sicilian meal. The home had a stove and small table top oven and when using too many things at once, we kept blowing fuses. Not being aware of this until he arrived, Chef Enrico somehow made it work. The food was amazing and he made the evening a lot of fun sharing stories of his childhood and the food that he prepared. It was an evening we will talk about for a long time. I would 100% recommend hiring him for an event. I would also like to add that the chefmaison app was very easy to use.

Chef Enrico and his helpers were amazing. The food was beyond anything we expected. His presentation and personality added to the whole experience. He didn’t just cook for us but gave us a story and an explanation for everything he made.

Chef Alessio provided us with the highest level of professionalism and culinary excellence. We had a group of seven guests, some quite particular about food yet every single person was impressed and satisfied. I requested a range of delicious finger foods. For the main course, Chef Alessio prepared an outstanding Cacio e Pepe Pasta with Lime Zest, which was perfectly balanced and beautifully presented. Both Alessio and his colleague were exceptionally professional, friendly, and discreet. They made us feel completely comfortable having them in our home and contributed to a relaxed, enjoyable atmosphere throughout the evening. I would highly recommend Chef Alessio to anyone seeking an elevated dining experience with impeccable service and genuine warmth.

Chef Sabrina was delightful. She set a lovely table, complete with candles and a charming menu . Warm artisanal bread that she had baked herself awaited us. We enjoyed the leftover buns the next day, toasted for breakfast. The main dish of sea bass was served with yellow and red tomato tartare made with tomatoes from her own garden--a nice touch. Chef Sabrina served the many courses seamlessly and we felt we were in a fine restaurant. Our favorite dishes: the bronze drawn spaghetti with wild caught clams with pesto of clams and courgettes was amazing. We had never tasted those tiny, sweet clams before and they were a real surprise! This was one of the best dishes we had in our entire trip to Sicily!! For dessert, Chef Sabrina prepared her own version of the traditional cassatina, constructed of cake, raspberries, chocolate bits and sweetened ricotta, frosted with marzipan and garnished with fresh raspberries and finely diced candied fruit. Perfect for my birthday! Our criticisms are few. Overall, the dishes were served only slightly warm, rather than hot, which may have been as they were intended to be. The starter of grilled giant orange prawns was disappointing as the prawns were very mushy in texture. Overall, we had a wonderful evening and we recommend Chef Sabrina wholeheartedly. If you are not accustomed to eating so many courses or you wish to have the temperature of your selections a bit warmer, you should make your requests known and I am sure she will accommodate you.

Chef Enrico and his team were amazing - I cannot thank them enough for a fantastic evening. We had booked Enrico to cater for a group with challenging dietary requirements and he exceeded all expectations with the quality and variety of food that he prepared for us all. In addition to the delicious food, Enrico provided a brilliant explanation of the dishes and the local ingredients that he had used which was highly entertaining and a lovely enhancement to our evening. Everything worked like clockwork, allowing us to relax while leaving all arrangements in his capable hands. The kitchen was even left spotless afterwards. This meal was a real highlight of our holiday - thank you so much!

Abbiamo avuto il piacere di avere Giuseppe come nostro chef per l’addio al nubilato di una nostra cara amica, eravamo 9 ragazze. Giuseppe è stato incredibilmente professionale, attento, il menù e i piatti erano equilibrati e gustosissimi. Giuseppe ha anche avuto l’accortezza e la gentilezza di stampare il menù, in modo che potessimo conservarlo come ricordo di questa giornata speciale. Abbiamo optato per il menù “il mare in bocca” a base di pesce, che comprendeva favolosi crudi di pesce, incredibile tataky di tonno, gamberi croccanti su crema di fave, calamarata con aragosta, turbante di branzino al forno e un tortino al cioccolato. Il menù era meraviglioso, vario, abbondante e buonissimo e Giuseppe è stato impeccabile, gentilissimo e dalla assoluta e indiscussa professionalità.

Giuseppe is a nice guy, responsive and accommodating. His family came to help him in the kitchen and serving the table. They created an incredibly warm atmosphere at the dinner. Food was good and appropriately portioned.

Chef Adolfo created a wonderful meal to help us celebrate a milestone birthday that really helped to make the occasion a special event to remember. He created 4 delicious course that were enjoyed by the group of 10 of us. The risotto and pork were outstanding! Chef Adolfo and his assistant at were very friendly and efficient while being professional. It was very easy to communicate with him through the app to set up our menu, including accommodating some food allergies, and process payment. We were even able to arrange a selection of wines that complimented the meal well. It really was a night to remember and recommend his service and food highly.

Chef Adolfo was amazing to work with. I had a very specific request to feed a group of 35 people with a variety of dietary restrictions as part of a yacht party I was planning. There was very strict timing and delivery needs and he knocked it out of the park. He helped bring everything on the boat. Very clear instructions on all of the food. Amazing communication through the planning process to make sure my guest would be happy. Highly recommend!

We had a fantastic evening with Chef Adolfo Sellitto. We easily communicated with Chef Adolfo to create the unique experience our family of seven was looking for. We were interested in preparing/working with him to build some of the dishes he had planned for the evening. He pulled all of us in to prepare stuffed squash blossoms and ravioli. He showed us all the techniques and then let everyone, that wanted, have a hand in creating the items. We had so much fun working with Chef. Everything on the menu he had created for us was delicious. He asked us if we would like him to purchase, for us, some local wine that would pair with the meal he was preparing and we said yes of course. It was nice to have him offer this option so we didn't need to go out and shop for what we might think would work well with his menu. Chef is super friendly, very professional, has a great sense of humor and if you are interested as we were very knowledgeable at helping you understand and learning to create regional dishes of the Amalfi Coast.
